Hope springs eternal at Lovell's Orchard. We are in a phase of restoration and rejuvenation this year. The trees look lovely (approximately 2,000 peach and 2,000 apple) and we are hopeful for an abundant season, filled with blessings!
Lovell's Orchard is a 66 acre farm, with over 4,000 apple and peach trees. We also have lots of farm animals here, like goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, pigs, a peacock and his peahens, and rabbits. There will be available this Fall, fresh pressed Apple Cider, Fried Apple Pies, hayrides on the weekends, pumpkins and other Fall items!
Lovell's Orchard currently opens in June and ends the season at the beginning of November. We feature pick-your-own peaches from the end of June to the end of July, as well as providing already picked produce in our Farm Market. We also go to Farmer's Market in Hopkinsville,KY and Greenville, KY. In the Fall, we offer pick-your-own apples, apples picked in our Farm Market as well as School Tours and our Annual Apple Festival the first weekend in October.
Our Apple Festival for 2011 will be October 1st and 2nd. We are featuring music from Eddie Pennington, Mean Mary and Ben Hall so far this year. We are currently looking for musicians for this event. We like thumb-picking, bluegrass, folk and Christian music! We are also hoping to attract some arts and crafts folk for this event. If you are a artist or craftsperson please email us to reserve booth space! We also would like to bring in some alternative energy demonstrators. Email us as well, if you have something to offer!
